This is a larger version of a similar painting I recently posted.  Both paintings were done from photos I took at Mission San Juan Capistrano in California.

This colorful sunset sky is made even more beautiful by its reflection in the water.

Last Light, 6x6 oil painting

Last Light

6x6 oil painting

on masonite panel

I did this little painting from a photo while taking a class with Dick Heichberger, a well-known local landscape artist. When I started painting on this panel, I noticed that the grain of the wood really shows, but it's still a nice painting.

This painting is available through an online auction at Daily Paintworks.
